Graves Engineering performs detail and topographic surveys for most our engineering projects. This work is performed in the field utilizing a total station and electronic data collector. The field data is then reduced and imported into an AutoCAD electronic drawing. The three dimensional survey points are then used to create an existing conditions site drawing complete with contours.
We also perform construction control layout for footings, foundations, building column lines, site utilities, parking lots, roadways, retaining walls, stormwater detention/retention systems, and more.
Graves Engineering is often called upon to assess a potential project’s feasibility for development; sometimes referred to as a due diligence assessment. This work may include conceptual layout schemes, evaluation of zoning and environmental constraints, site access, availability of utilities, off-site enhancements, construction costs, and permitting requirements.
Master planning services offered by Graves Engineering focus primarily on water and wastewater engineering. Our expertise in water supply, distribution, storage, and treatment allow us to prepare master plans for existing water systems as well as new systems. The clients can be municipalities or private water utilities. Similarly, our strong wastewater collection and treatment knowledge allows us to offer comprehensive wastewater management plans to municipal and commercial clients.
